Slippy FOO!

Happy Birthday Sip

Here is yours swing, you need to get the club working up immediately after the ball, keep practicing the drill I gave you, placing a tee 10 inches behind the ball. And forget "slow and low" - The Golden Bear

  1. Hey Pheez,

Thanks for the suggestions. I have to admit, when you first told me to get the club working up immediately on the takeaway, I was a little confused and concerned. But, after trying it for a little bit at the range that day, I seemed to be hitting the ball pretty well and I felt like it was much more effortless than what I was doing before. I'm still confused as to why it seemed to work, but I've been itching to get back on the range to practice some more and see how it goes!! I would also like to set something up again soon with you to re-evaluate:)

  2. Think of Ray Allen shooting threes from the top of the key, Ray jumps straight up and releases the ball from the top of his leap. If ray shot a fade away three he would be moving farther away from the hoop while shooting, odds are each fade away would vary in the amount of fade and his three percentage would decline.

By dragging the club low and long you are hitting fade aways with your golf swing. The distance you fade back during the takeaway varies each time and so your shot patterns will vary as well.

Call me and we will set something up, maybe sat.

  3. In your sequence the yellow line is your most efficient plane line, because we only have a Down the Line camera angle things look better then they really are. In frame 5 and 6 you are in a really powerful position but in frame 8 you can see the your arms are forced out over the top of the plane in an effort to return to the. Causing you to swing across the ball at impact. Because you slide the swing arc back behind the ball you are getting a little lost on the downswing, frame 3 looks worse than it is b/c you force the arc back behind the ball it makes your club appear deeper than is the case.

Keep working on the drill I gave you, its your path to correction.

  4. Thanks man! I would like to get together with you tomorrow, but I think I'm gonna be golfing at the club with Bank, Senior, and Mullin at some point around noon. I'll plan on working on what you have been telling me and I'll let you know how it goes.
